Chinese Food & Jazz Drummer Lunch

I recently had lunch with a great jazz drumming friend of mine, Adam Wirdzek, of the Adam Wirdzek Trio.
As we had lunch, we kept circling around the theme of how jazz drummers can fall into categories demarcated by the old school and the new school. The old school would be the Papa Joe Jones crew. The new schoolers would be the drummers who came up trying to emulate Dave Weckl and Dennis Chambers.
